{"id":33,"date":"2017-07-03T17:33:57","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T17:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sindhi.org\/?p=33"},"modified":"2017-07-04T17:50:27","modified_gmt":"2017-07-04T17:50:27","slug":"tri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sindhi.org\/index.php\/2017\/07\/03\/tri\/","title":{"rendered":"Tri Dali Dal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Tri Dali Dal (Three Lentils Mixed) (for 4)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Chana dal, Urad chilka, Moong chilka in the ratio of 1:1:1\/4 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a01 cup total<br \/>\n<em>(Bengal Gram <\/em>Lentils<em>, Black split <\/em>beans<em>, and Green Moong beans)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tomato (optional) 1 large<br \/>\nTurmeric powder 1\/4 tsp<br \/>\nWater 2 1\/2 cups<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Garlic 2 Cloves<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Green <\/span>chilies<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> 1<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Red chili powder (Cayne Pepper) 1\/2 tsp<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Oil 2 tbsp<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Salt to taste<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Fresh cilantro for garnishing<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pressure cook three lentils (pre-soaked for 3-4 hrs) in 2 1\/2 cups of water, turmeric and salt at high for 10 minutes. Simmer the gas; let it cook for another 5-7 minutes. when all the steam is released from cooker, Whisk it well. Crush garlic and green chilies. Heat the ghee in a small frying pan, add garlic and green chili paste. When the paste turns to a golden brown; smells fragrant add red chili powder. Add this to pre-cooked dal. Garnish it with finely chopped cilantro.
